Proverbs 29:18
“Where there is no vision, the people perish…”
theholybibleNothing of any significance has ever been accomplished without a vision. Before every invention, before every building, before every bridge, before every gold metal, before every exploit for God, someone had a vision and worked to make it happen. Faith is often the byproduct of Vision. For faith is “the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” and vision is the dreaming or seeing of those things that are afar off.

God given vision is one of the most compelling motivators known to man. With inspired visions God has changed the course of the world many times. In April of 2003 the Lord gave Reverend Michael Neely a vision for a new and different kind of church. It would be a New Testament church that would become a lighthouse in a place of darkness. Its sole purpose would be to glorify God and win lost men and women to the Lord Jesus Christ.

Thus New Millennium Community Churched was birthed on Sunday September 19th, 2004 in the cafeteria of Paul Mort Elementary school. Since its inception, NMCC has met at 5 locations, all the while maintaining the desire to be a vibrant church where the truth of the Gospel could be clearly and creatively communicated to the surrounding community.

New Millennium Community Church is more than just a place to attend service on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights; ours is a church where you will be encouraged and taught how to get In Touch with God, and learn His will for your life. We are a congregation of richly diverse people representing a variety of different ethnic races, ages, educational and socio-economic backgrounds. We pride ourselves for our tremendous spirit of worship, prophetic preaching, generosity, faith in the goodness of God, and warm Christian love.

NMCC is now located in the midst of a dynamic northeast neighborhood – resulting from our belief that God has called us to play a role in the spiritual renewal of Tampa. Our partners are other churches and organizations mobilizing to live out our vision: to be a biblical community where the Gospel of Jesus Christ transforms lives, renews the city and impacts the world.

It is our goal to build a compassionate local Christian community that transforms lives and brings hope to everyone that we come in contact with. Pastor Neely and our entire membership have a confident vision of faith for compassionately and positively impacting the immediate Tampa Bay Area community. If you are passionate about lost people and living for the kingdom of God then New Millennium Community Church is the place for you.

It is our priority to make you feel welcome, comfortable, and loved. No matter what your background, experience, or situation, we sincerely welcome you to become a functioning part of our family as you experience God’s love and acceptance from each of us. We encourage you to pursue a joyous relationship with Jesus Christ when you spend time worshiping with us and enjoying a meaningful fellowship with others.

We belong to a multicultural denomination known as the

“Christian and Missionary Alliance”.

Formed as a cross-denominational missions society in the 1880’s, The Alliance evolved into a world evangelization movement in the early 20th century and became an evangelical missions and church-planting denomination in 1974.

While pastoring a Presbyterian congregation in New York City in 1881, C&MA founder, Dr. A.B. Simpson, witnessed the physical and spiritual plight of the city’s homeless, downtrodden and infirmed, and of its disenfranchised immigrant populations. This daily exposure moved Simpson to devote his life and ministry to taking the whole gospel to the whole world.

Having experienced the all-sufficiency of Christ on a deeply personal level, Simpson articulated a core theology, proclaiming Jesus as Savior, Sanctifier, Healer and Coming King. This “Fourfold Gospel” remains the spiritual foundation of The Alliance, the “deeper life” engine that drives us toward the completion of the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20).

Today, there are more than 2,000 Alliance churches in the United States, and approximately 18,000 fellowships in 81 countries around the world, where nearly 5 million Christians call themselves “Alliance”, united by an unquenchable passion to provide access to the gospel where no access yet exists.

We look forward to serving you online and in person and seeing you in our next service. Please feel free to attend any of our worship services or events. You can also email our staff and ministry leaders for more information.
